you should be able to feed them finely crushed fish flakes. If they don't take that, then crush some freeze dried shrimp up finely and try that.

make sure you have plenty of live plants for them to munch on, I prefer anachris, frill, or hornwort. You can also use fresh veggies as they reach a size in which they can eat it.zuchnni, broccoli, romaine lettuce, cucumber, de-shelled green peas. Gold fish , especially fancy varietys should have a 50% veggie/plant diet, the other can be a good flake food or pellet . I recommend pre-soaking all fish foods due to most goldfish suck in to much air if they are top feeding from the water which will cause swimbladder problems. I would be careful about brine shrimp as it can cause intestinal problems (bacterial) with goldfish, and is usually not recommended. Personally i would use a good flake food like "Omega One" for goldfish. finely crush it and soak feed, incorporate veggie/plants,and I also like to treat with red wigglers/earthworms depending on size of fish. I know some of these thing you will not be able to feed small fry, but the key is the variety of foods and the quality. good luck
