    1. make sure the size of the tank is appropriate for the number of goldfish kept in it (and not the 1" inch per gallon rule).

    2. A very good filter rated for a tank twice the size of the one it’s being used on.

    3. Make sure the tank is fully cycled (nitrogen cycle).

    4. Regular water changes.

    Get the powder that gets rid of ammonia and fixed PH and all of that.

    ~Have an appropriately sized tank. A single goldfish requires a minimum of twenty gallons.

    ~Keep up with weekly water changes of about 25%.

    ~Always net uneaten food out of the tank. It will settle on the bottom and rot.
