Please help!!! Easy 10 points.?

Ok so I have a lionhead goldfish and I saw a fish lice on the wen(growth) near the gills. That was yesterday and i couldn’t go to buy medicine yesterday but I can today. I checked on my fish this morning and it wasn’t there anymore. What should i add to my tank to kill the lice and any eggs? If the lice attaches to my fish, how do i properly remove it? Thats about it. Thanks
I have it in a 40 gallon and my other goldfish haven’t been effected.

These critters are difficult to treat, and more than one treatment may be needed.
They are free swimming and may move from one fish to another. It’s difficult to tell where it may be now, could be anywhere in the tank.
The listed site recommends draining and thoroughly drying the tank, then allowing it to sit for a few days to kill the lice. The same could be done with ornaments.
Examine any decorations you have for eggs. Follow the suggestions by these experts, and your fish and tank should be fine…but not the lice.
Since they may also lay eggs on the bottom of the tank, also closely examine the bottom. If you have a bare bottom, you may be able to see the eggs, and could possibly scrape them off with a razor blade.
If you find more eggs, it’s likely there are also additional lice.

Hi there =] ok the best thing u can do is go to petco or petsmart and buy a fish lice killer or some kind of tank treatment to clean ur whole tank..most of em r drops u put in the whole tank so that, even if the othr fish dont have em yet they’ll b cleansed..

there should b diff kinds, read each one b4 u buy..and sadly, it seems like most ppl that wrk @ pet stores know nothing about animals at all, so ur gonna have to jus go w/the 1 u think is best (u can still ask thou =)…even if ur other fish haven’t been affected b on the safe side..hope that helped. cheers! =]

Try Quick cure. its gonna make the water blue and you have to take out the carbon media out of the filter but it will get rid of that and any other parasites you may have. you can get it at any big chain petstore

go 2 your local aquarium and get some salt
salt kills 7 of the 9 fish lice so once the salt is in the water then the lice will die and the worms will die aswell
