If it is alone or with other Moors or Bubble-Eyes, it should be fine and easy. The reason for this is that Moors do not have good vision, so other types of fish will get the food before the Black Moor so the Black Moor will not have anything to eat. Another reason for this is because other types of goldfish enjoy picking on Black Moors. I’ve even heard of other goldfish eating a Black Moor’s eyes out… EWWW…

Also, like other fancy goldfish, you need to keep it in a 20+ gallon tank, make sure the tank is cycled, change the water every week, etc.

not at all. you would just have to feed him, clean out his water bowl and…wait, thats it!

They are ok as long as they are kept with other fancy goldfish or on their own as they are slow movers and often miss out on food to the faster fish.
They are prone to swim bladder problems due to their shape and don’t live as long as the average gold fish. But they are attractive and easy fish to care for.

Black moors don’t get huge like some other goldfish and are a nice fish in a tank. Some have been known to grow to 10 inches, tho, but this is not the norm. They have a hard time seeing due to the position of their eyes so make sure they are able to get their food.
