goldfish like water around 60 degrees, and up to 70. A goldfish tank should Never be above 74 degrees.

No it won’t. Lower the water temperature to below 74, ideally to 60 degree F. Goldfish are coldwater fish and thrive in cooler waters. Tropical fish like Bettas prefer warm (80 degree F) waters.

I’m sure they are beautiful specimens,, but as other posters have indicated,, cold water fish,, lowering the temp will go a long way to keepng them healthy and more active
