I have a goldfish and two tropical fish in the same fish tank. Should I feed topical fish or goldfish food?
I dont know how I can give all fish the nutrients they need.
There are no salt water fish in the tank. There is a celestial goldfish, a balloon molly, and a male fantail guppy.
I keep the temperature at 74 degrees. That is still in the normal range for the goldfish, and also in the range for the two tropical fish.

The food you feed he fish is pretty much the same thing. They just lable them different to make more money off of you, so that wont bother them to feed them either kind of food. The thing that will kill them is the temperature. Either the temerature is to cold or to hot, So you should seperate the fish or one of the species will probably die

Either your tank is too warm for the goldy or too cold for the tropical. If you like your fish they need their own tanks.

We did that mixed the fish and the gold fish died.

they have a fish food thats for a variety of fish, as long as its obviously fresh or salt water not both.
The variety is more than one type of fish in one bowl.
Talk to a pet store worker once you go to buy the food.

You really should not have the two together, first off they require two different temperatures, and also goldfish tend to be very dirty fish, and your other two fish may not survive. Goldfish like cooler water, and tropical like it a bit on the warmer side.

ugly artwork is right on this one. however, if you are feeding a generic flake, I should warn you that goldfish have a harder time digesting protein than most fish. id recommend you feed the goldfish a formulated food, and the tropicals get standard tropical flakes.

they should not be in the same tank because goldfish need colder water than tropical fish
