How do you take care of baby goldfish?
I have 3 goldfish and they just laid eggs. We put the eggs into a separate tank and about a couple of days later, we saw some ‘baby goldfish’ hatch out. We now have about 10+ in this tank but we want to find a way to clear out all the unhatched eggs. Does anyone know how to do this? The eggs are on the plants and a lot of the little goldfish hide in-between, they’re about 3-4cms long. We’re afraid if we clear and wash out the plastic plants, the little goldfish will become stuck in between the plants and will be cleared out too! What is the best method to clear out all the other things in the tank and make sure all the baby goldfish are still intact? We’d also like some information on how to feed them, take care of them, and maybe some info on what we should buy at the store so they grow up safe and normal.
Thank-you to anyone who replies.

Someone asked the same thing on wikianswers.

"Make sure to feed it once every few days, but not too much. Goldfish will die if fed too much.
Also, clean the tank once a week or so. That’s pretty much all it takes. " was the reply.
Here’s a feeding chart:
Feeding Schedule for Babies
The following shedule is one that I have found and seems to be recommended:
After 48 hrs Crushed yolk of hardboiled egg and oatmeal paste, or there is a liquid available commercially
After 2 weeks Baby brine shrimp and infusoria
After 3 weeks Powdered foods can be used
First 4 weeks Feed 3 times each day
Up to 4 mths Feed 2 times each day
After 4 mths Once daily

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything that had to do with unhatched eggs. =[[
Because they’re so small, I recommend that you leave the tank as it is until a few week later, when the babies are stronger. That way, the risk of them dying will be minimized when you clean the tank out.

If you pour the water in the tank though a very fine sieve then the small fish should be caught before they go down the drain. My fish lay a lot of eggs and the babies are really quite low maintenance. Just feed them a little bit everyday and clean them out when you absolutely must, not too often though. This should keep them happy and give you a few more fish.

Not all of the fry will hatch at the same time, sometimes it take up to a week so i say wait until then.
